WHERE THE EVIDENCE STANDS

Research interest centres on wound healing, angiogenesis and muscle repair, with evidence from cell and animal studies. Published human trial data on the fragment itself are scarce; most human work concerns the full-length thymosin beta-4 protein in other settings.

TB-500 was placed in Category 2 in September 2023 and was among the six substances the FDA's advisory committee recommended for the 503A bulks list in July 2026, by 8 votes to 6. It is often promoted alongside BPC-157, a pairing named in a Harvard Chan School explainer of October 2026.
