WHERE THE EVIDENCE STANDS

Tesamorelin has the clearest clinical identity of the growth-hormone-axis compounds here: randomised trials behind its approved indication showed reductions in visceral adipose tissue, and a 2026 meta-analysis pooled body-composition and hepatic-fat outcomes. It is not approved for general weight reduction or longevity use.

Research continues inside its original population: a Massachusetts General Hospital trial of tesamorelin as an adjunct to exercise for physical function in HIV (NCT06554717) is recruiting, with primary completion estimated for mid-2028.
